The incredible success and popularity of the Mumm 30 and Corel 45 have
led to a need for an in between sized boat and hence the Farr® 40
One Design was conceived. Using the same tried and tested configuration
of simple carbon fiber swept spreader rig, no running backstays, non
overlapping jibs and high stability keel, the Farr® 40 One Design
provides those seeking the excitement and performance exhibited by the
Mumm 30 and Corel 45 in a mid sized boat. Also compatible with the IMS
Rule, the Farr® 40 One Design has proven to be a highly versatile
boat that can be competitively raced under the IMS, CHS and PHRF handicapping
systems. The pure simplicity and high performance characteristics are
making this a very popular boat.
